Creating Chunky Text
A chunk is a short passage of Web text, usually no more than 100 words. A homepage usually has several chunks all visible on the same screen.
Here is an example of a few chunks from the NU Nursing page:

On April 27, 2005 Johnson & Johnson sponsored the "Promise of Nursing" Gala. The goal of the evening was to raise funds to address the nursing shortage. Funds collected will be allocated as nursing student scholarships, nurse educator fellowships, and nursing school grants.
Another important rule of thumb for writing chunky text is to turn any long series of items into a bulleted list. Here is an example:
